The Capitol Complex Armchair by Cassina is a tribute to the Swiss architect and furniture designer Pierre Jeanneret. The armchair was created between 1960 when Jeanneret was responsible for numerous projects in the Indian city of Chandigarh together with his cousin Le Courbusier. Pierre Jeanneret was largely responsible for the interior design and in particular for the design of the chairs. A special compositional scheme, which can also be found in other furniture of the Capitol Complex family, is the "V"-shaped support.
